The Daniel Rosenberg Fellowship was established in 1989 by Irwin and Civia Rosenberg in memory of their son Dan, who completed his B.F.A. degree in the Department of Photography in 1988. Each year since its inception, the fellowship enables one graduating senior to pursue a photographic project involving travel. This exhibition will showcase the work of the 2006 recipient of the award Mary Button. Her exhibition entitled The Hymnbook Project aims to collect hymnals, stories, letters, and religious ephemera from Southern Congregations. The collages made from these documents are created in hopes of further exploring and illustrating the devastation of the church arsons in the mid-90s as well as the most recent fires in Alabama.
