The Department of Photography & Imaging in the Kanbar Institute of Film and Television at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts presents an exhibition of works by more than 150 photographers. The exhibition is curated by Deborah Willis, Fred Ritchin and Patricia Snavely. Entitled Transformations, the exhibition celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Department of Photography & Imaging at NYU. The participating artists include past and present faculty and staff members, alumni and current students. The show comprises a wide range of media, including traditional black-and-white and color photographs, digital art, scholarly publications, web-based projects, video, collage, and sculpture. Transformations: Photography and Imaging @ 25 opened Thursday, September 6, 2007 and will remain on view through November 17 in the Gulf & Western Gallery (main floor, rear of lobby) and the Department of Photography and Imaging Gallery (8th floor), located at 721 Broadway. Additional work is  displayed the Kimmel Center Windows at 60 Washington Square South. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays.
